bedroom lamps

Okay, so to go with my brass pulls in my bedroom, I reeeeeally want a pair of chunky brass lamps. In my head, the base is like a big, fat ball - maybe slightly oval-ish? Shades are probably black, though that part isn't fully colorized yet.

I was just browsing through maison21's marketplace and saw these lamps:

They're so very pretty and if they were about 6" shorter (I want something squat) and maybe $200 less, I'd snap them up. However, right now I can't afford to spend $400 on a pair of almost-right lamps, pretty though these are.

But how exciting to finally see something that's in the neighborhood of what's in my head! That never happens.
